In our nightly devotions, Jimmy and I have been studying about how love puts the other person first. This is something that I believe all people struggle with in their daily lives as well as in their marriages. It is so easy to say me, me, me and forget about the other person. When we let selfishness win continually then we are doing serious damage to our relationships. Selfishness smothers love and doesn't allow it to grow. Over time it can kill it completely. No wonder so many marriages end in divorce! It's all because we can't look beyond ourselves and put the other person first.


"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves." Philippians 2:3
