I was turning in my time card today when it really struck home that October is over. It’s time to pull out the winter coats and sweaters (unless you live in my house which is cold year round) and prepare for a long, cold winter. The fall semester is half over and the holidays will be fast upon us.
Boy! Does time fly!
It’s no wonder that the Bible tells us that we are like the mist. In James 4:14 it says, “Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” Life is fleeting. It flies by before we know what’s going on and sooner—rather than later—it will be gone completely.
I know one of these days I won’t be saying “Wow, this month went fast!” Instead I will be saying, “Where did my life go?” I want to have a worthwhile answer for that question when it comes. Carpe Diem.
Seize the Day!
